We want to thank everyone for the amazing turnout at our launch event. It was so great to be together to celebrate as JoY enters into this new chapter, and we look forward to continuing to build community together in the months and years to come. Next on JoY’s calendar is our monthly steering committee meeting, which will be held Thursday, December 11th at noon at Slifka in the back room of the kosher dining room. These meetings are a great way to meet new people, learn about JoY’s activities and how you can get involved! We will meet at Slifka most months; however, when Slifka is closed (summer, holidays, student breaks) we will find an alternate location. Each monthly meeting will also have a Zoom option so that as many people can participate as possible. Please note for lunches at Slifka: Outside food is not permitted in the dining room but meals are available for individual purchase and the menu can be found here. The Slifka Center has generously arranged a discount for the JoY monthly lunches, so please mention this when you pay!
JoY will also be hosting a Chanukah themed Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Alex Ozar on Wednesday, December 17th at noon at the Slifka Center. Space is limited, so please be sure to register on Yale Connect! Hope to see you there!
